A Bit of Spilled Coffee Changed a Life Forever…

Those few drops started Rex Griswold and his family on a journey into the unknown world of MSA. For those closest to him, it was a devastating blow to one of the most genuine, heartwarming people they had ever met. But for Rex, it was an opportunity to have a lasting impact on something important. With his trademark humor and good-natured attitude, he was determined to put MSA on the national radar and raise much-needed funding for research while continuing to live his life to the fullest.

About the Foundation

Rex had a profound impact on every life he touched. So when he was diagnosed with MSA, we knew we couldn’t stand idly by.

In 2014, a group of colleagues and friends from Nestlé Waters North America joined together to form the Rex Griswold Foundation, a nonprofit organization with the goal of curing MSA. Little is known about this disorder, and even less research has been done to study its devastating effects.

They are dedicated to raising money for research to learn how to put an end to this terrible disease on behalf of their dear friend.

Rex always thought beyond himself, so if his suffering can help ease someone else’s – even by a little bit – he was willing to do anything he could. His spirit is at the heart of the foundation and will guide this journey to find a cure for MSA.

“This organization intends to help fight this deadly disease, as well as honor the courage and inspiring determination of our friend, Rex, who worked so hard to raise money and awareness for MSA, all in an effort to provide a cure and hope for others,” says Maria Barton, Executive Director of the Rex Griswold Foundation.
